You’re not friends. You’ll never be friends. You’ll be in love ‘til it kills you both. You’ll fight, and you’ll shag, and you’ll hate each other ‘til it makes you quiver, but you’ll never be friends.
When I was in high school, I always saw myself as Xander. As I got older, I realized I had more traits in common with Spike than I thought.
Even when Spike went all lovesick for Buffy, one thing I always loved about him was that it never took him long, no matter what the circumstances, to come to terms with himself and embrace who he was.

Is there fanfic out there based on Marcie Ross and the government’s training of invisible assassins? ‘Cause that could be really cool.
I mean, in the ‘verse blending possibilities, how cool would it be to have an invisible Avenger (a la League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but contemporary and female)?
Let the Sun Fall Down - Kim Richey
That old dark cloud
Acts like he knows you
Takes up to much time,
Time you could be spending holding me
And he can’t have you now
It’s you and me here in this room
O Soave Fanciulla - La Boheme
*This is another one to turn up just shy of eardrum-bursting levels.
It can be extremely romantic/afterglow-y (see: Moonstruck) or really, really haunting/disturbing (see: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 2, episode “Passion”).

Creating Love Interests for Strong Female Characters
In my time I have been called a “tom boy”, “geek”, “butch” and just plain “weird”. Why? Because I love, love action, adventure, fantasy, swashbuckling, epics and heroes. I play video games, role play, dress up in costumes in public, learned to fight with swords, and read every book I came across. I want to be the heroine of every adventure out there.
But my escapist fantasies also have to include love interests, and that’s harder to find. How do you give a strong girl a love interest who doesn’t eclipse her? They can’t just sit around at home - that’s boring, and who wants to date that kind of dead weight anyway? - but if they get too involved in the heroics, it risks becoming his, not her, adventure.
Being very hot is also a huge distraction from the action.
That’s when you give him his own show… but then she dates a good, vanilla guy and he can’t handle all her badassery so he leaves, and then the God of Badasses falls for her and she bangs him for all he’s worth and shatters his heart, and she saves the world a lot. A lot, a lot. And the two badass guys ‘team up’ to be frienemies against the powers of darkness and we get to see Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Go To Rome… and then almost everyone dies.

I just gave in and started plugging away at the crossover fic with Hiddles!Loki. Here’s hoping I get enough of it poured out of my head by the end of tonight so I’m fresh to start NaNo tomorrow morning with… well… Regency!Hiddles.
I feel like the Buffy dream where she has Little Women Bale and Reign Of Fire Bale on each arm.

Amazing news for Buffy fans: Oz and Willow are getting back together!
Or, at least, Seth Green is going to guest star on How I Met Your Mother.
WANT. TAKE. HAVE.
